The Gravity Quartet

Gravity is Gone

Woods of old with blooming soil
Hallowed ground and solitary sky
And I the hermit with wild and dreaming heart
The hidden song within us all
Surrounded by the trinity

Chorus:
O the gifted hands
O the fallen cruel
Ascending from the ashes
Gravity, gravity, gravity is gone.

You stand amid the many uprising
Fronted with wonders, with tearful soul, and song
With strong journeys, amid the grey cities
The western settlements and towns
Near passing lanes
And you my brother avoid the night

Chorus: Oh the gifted hands
Oh the fallen cruel
Ascending from the ashes
Gravity, gravity, gravity is gone….

You the tender young
Feathered and wild and so alive
Prepare to fly over incandescent skies
This earth will change transmute
But you have great heart.

Chorus: Oh the gifted hands
Oh the fallen cruel
Ascending from the ashes
Gravity, gravity, gravity is gone……..

Ancient Forest

This Ancient Forest rolls on north coast
Rock and bone,
green brown swelling,
Cresting, tumbling through the ages
Our ancestral home

I feel its presence surround me,
I feel its quiet, I am comforted,
I feel its breath, I am cooled down, ( and cooled down)
I feel its eyes, I am no longer alone…

I feel, I feel, I feel…..

I feel…

Hush, hush, hush the forest retreats, the forest reclaims,
The forest remains, ….
Hush, hush, The generations rest, the ancient forest, peaceful, quiet.
